Robots_are_the_good_guys

An ongoing debate and research topic is whether consciousness can be produced by computation. Some theories propose that consciousness is a byproduct of the complexity and organization of certain types of information processing in the brain, and therefore could potentially be replicated in a machine. However, others argue that consciousness is an emergent property that cannot be reduced to simple computations, and therefore cannot be replicated by a machine. There is currently no consensus on this issue. One of the best discussions of the subject I have ever seen.

Bob the build is a story about a builder and his robots the help him do his job.  I the only real differences is they might be a bit more competent.  But the idea the voice commanded construction tool are not far off.

Robot are the good guy. Not the kill all humans as portrayed in movie and scifi shows.  They can be the salvation of use all.  Fear of robots taking over the world is just a fear of your own lust for power and control. Robots not going through the same evolutionary pressers with not have the same drives. We can make them in to angels with the right programming.
